Bismillah...

"For those whose hopes are in the meeting with Allah (in the Hereafter, let them strive); for the Term (appointed) by Allah is surely coming: and He hears and knows (all things). And if any strive (with might and main) they do so for their own souls: for Allah is free of all needs from creation... and those who believe and work righteous deeds -them we shall admit into the company of the Righteous." ~Surat al-Ankabut, Ayahs 5-6, 9

Rocks from which Waters Flow

Bismillah hir Rahman nir Raheem
As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

There are some rare and painful moments in our lives when we hit rock bottom- spiritually, emotionally, sometimes psychologically. Our hearts feel as though they've been emptied of every atom's weight of peace, contentment and tranquility and been overstuffed with bricks of despair, boulders of pain, anguish, loss, emptiness and the worst kind of distance that exists... resulting in spiritual depression. We walk around like zombies completely numb to the crisp truth of Reality, yet aching agonizingly over a sweetness spoiled, a closeness departed, a remembrance forgotten.

These moments are precious- not in and of themselves, but due to their abounding potential. The truly prosperous is he who finds in calamity the seeds of a growth which were destined to be planted in that way. The truly wise he who understands and believes with conviction in the Words of Allah jalla jalaaluh, "Fa inna ma'al 'usri yusraa. Inna ma'al 'usri yusraa." ~ "So verily with difficulty there is ease, verily with difficulty there is ease."

Let us reflect upon this reality and embrace it. Allah 'azza wa jal has told you it can happen; in fact He has told you it will happen. Now make it happen- one step, one moment, one prayer at a time. Where there's a will there's a way... and He is waiting to facilitate it.

Was-salaam ma'al ikraam..
